Getting started with Jitsi-Meet

Be prepared

First of all you'll need a computer with a webbrowser (ideally something Chrome/Chromium based, avoid Firefox) and a connected microphone,
alternatively you can use an iOS or Android device.

Ideally you'd use some headphones to avoid your microphone picking up the sound coming from your system.

Default behaviour

Jitsi-Meet allows everybody to start a meeting and the first person to join a meeting always becomes the rooms moderator.

The moderator can start/stop recordings, mute and remove other persons from the meeting, and lock the meeting with a password.

High bandwith

Unfortunately Firefox has the bad behavior of basically disabling all of the traffic management available in a Jitsi-Meet conference and all attendees will receive the highest possible qualities of all active microphones + webcams.
